Foamular XPS Pipe Insulation
FOAMULAR® Extruded Polystyrene (XPS) Fabrication Billets are manufactured from rigid sheets of foam made using Owens Corning’s patented Hydrovac® process technology. The unique closed-cell structure of FOAMULAR® XPS insulation makes it highly resistant to moisture, low in water absorption but high in insulating capability.
Applications:
- Chilled Water Piping
- Refrigeration Piping
- Tanks/Vessels
Phenolic (2.5 lb)
Insul-phen has one of the best k factor ratings of any commonly specified insulation material. Its high thermal efficiency means that the actual insulation thickness is significantly lower than other materials. The high closed cell content of Insul-phen gives it very high resistance to moisture penetration. Insul-phen, and its production process, is 100% free of CFCs and HCFCs. Complying with all international standards, it has a Zero Ozone Depletion rating. One of the safest insulation materials for use inside buildings. Insul-phen meets the fire standard requirements achieving ASTM E84 25/50 flame and smoke rating.
Phenolic (5 lb)
Phenolic 5lb is used where pipe hanger supports are required to prevent the crushing of insulation.

Trymer 2000
Trymer® 2000XP insulation is a closed-cell insulation that features improved dimensional stability over a wider range of temperatures than standard polyurethane insulation. Trymer 2000XP insulation is polyurethane modified polyisocyanurate (PIR) cellular plastic. The rigid insulation is supplied in the form of bunstock for fabrication into sheets, pipe shells, tank and vessel coverings, and other shapes for a variety of thermal insulation applications.
Trymer 2000XP insulation is suitable for applications that require a Flame Spread Index of 25 or less and a Smoke Developed Index of 450 or less when tested as per ASTM E84. These are typical requirements for pipe insulation located in non-plenum locations so Trymer 2000XP Insulation is particularly ideal for use as pipe insulation in the non-plenum areas of commercial buildings.
Applications:
- Industrial pipe insulation, including elbows and fittings
- Commercial chilled water insulation
- Tank and vessel insulation
Trymer 4000
Trymer® 4000 insulation is a polyurethane modified polyisocyanurate cellular material. The rigid insulation is supplied in the of bunstock for fabrication into sheets, pipe shells, tank and vessel coverings, and other shapes for a variety of thermal insulation applications. Trymer 4000 insulation features improved dimensional stability over a wider range of temperatures than standard polyurethane insulation.
Trymer 4000 insulation is used extensively in industrial and commercial applications with moderate density/strength requirements, within the service temperature range* of -297°F to +300°F (-183°C to +149°C).
Typical applications for Trymer 4000 insulation include:
- Fabricated pipe insulation, including elbows and fittings
- Pipe hangers, saddles and supports
- Tank and vessel insulation
Foamglas Insulation
Foamglas is a lightweight, rigid insulating material composed of millions of completely sealed glass cells, each an insulating space, with constant insulating efficiency.
FOAMGLAS® insulation offers long-term thermal performance and protection. FOAMGLAS® insulation is non-combustible, non-absorbent, impermeable, and has high compressive strength. It offers ideal properties for process piping and equipment, chilled water systems, storage tanks, fire suppression systems, and more.
Application:
- Cryogenic systems
- Low-temperature pipe, equipment, tanks and vessels
- Medium- and high-temperature pipes and equipment
- Hot oil and hot asphalt storage tanks
- Heat transfer fluid systems
- Hydrocarbon processing systems
- Chemical processing systems
- Steam and chilled water piping
- Commercial piping and ductwork
- Direct burial/underground
Roxul ProRox SL 460
ProRox SL 460 NA is a rigid mineral wool (stone wool) insulation board that can be fabricated into high temperature industrial pipe sections.
ProRox SL 460 NA is an insulation board (slab) that is ideal for fabricating into pipe sections and precision cut pipe sections.
Applications:
- High Temperature Piping
- Excellent thermal and acoustic insulation
- Easy to handle and install
